Artist Statement
I seek to translate the profound reverence I hold for my environment into vibrant expressions of its innate beauty. Through the ever-shifting tapestry of the Adirondack Mountains, I find my muse and mentor. Inspired by the legacy of the American Impressionists, I navigate the interplay of light and shadow, color, and form, with a loose and painterly touch. As a humble recorder of nature's symphony, I strive to capture its essence.
Each brushstroke is a testament to my intimate connection with the landscapes that surround me, layered with colors that echo the energy of the world as I perceive it. My paintings are a reflection of my soul, imbued with a sense of freshness that invites viewers to share in the wonder and reverence I feel. I hope that through my art, others may glimpse the sublime beauty of nature and experience it anew, as seen through a painter's eye.
